Another boat question
This time is my question is about recharging the batteries. My boat has a total of four Optimax batteries (3 for the electric motor and 1 crankin' battery). Over the weekend I took the boat out on an electric only lake and ran the Minn Kota for about 3 hours. Should I recharge the batteries for the electric motor or should I continue to use the batteries until the charge runs low?
Also, should I plug in my maintainer for the crankin' battery every now and then if I am not going to use the outboard within the next couple weeks? Once again, I thank everyone for their help. |

I Would Recharge Batterys After Every Use. On My Jon Boat I Use Only The Two Batterry On The Boat ,but With Out You Running The Outboard The Battery For Starting Do Not Get A Charge. I Belive They Charge Off Of The Outboard. The Trolling Batterys Should Be Charged After Every Use.

my opinion is to ALWAYS keep your charger/maintainer hooked up. it's better for your batteries in the long run
