Curado 6.3:1
I had been thinking like alot of others how nice it would be if at ICAST, Shimano came out with a Curado in a 6.3:1 gear ratio. Today it is raining and I was rather bored,so I got the great idea that I would transplant the gears from my Citica E to the Curado and visa versa. So after about an hour of work I now have a 6.3:1 Curado and a 5.1:1 Citica. I have not had the chance to fish either, but they both cast and reel just as smooth as before. The Citica, having the smaller handle may not be suited for larger crankbaits now, and will become my small shallow crankbait reel and I paired with a Shimano Crucial crankbait rod. I will update if I run into any problems down the road, but the swapout was very easy to perform, and I ended up with what I truely wanted.

Yup! I hear Shimano's gonna have some good stuff this year, two of which it rumored to be both a 6.3:1 curado, and chronarch.

It's Alive!!! Guess what got me thinking that way was that I had a Citica that I was using alot because of the gear ratio and a Curado that was only being used for crankin. Just thought it would be nice to use the more expensive reel a little more often. Going to go ahead and upgrade the bearings in the Curado, when I do that, I am going to move the drive shaft bearing to the Citica as well.
