Default 200khz vs 50khz transducer

I need to order a new transducer for my garmin 250c fish finder. I fish only lakes with max depth of 80-100'. My qquestion is what transducer am I better off with, a 200khz or a 50khz? I am more interested in what kind of structure is at the bottom and how deep I am fishing.

I would get an 83/200 kHz dual frequency 'ducer if I were you. IMHO, 50 kHz units are only for saltwater, or extremely deep freshwater, i.e Great Lakes.

200 kHz means a wider beam wich shows more at a shallower depth. nofear is right about the dual beam, because the 50 kHz allows you to see the fish more clearly .
