ok, got a question for ya gang.
ok, i am just wondering how many of us here spend an enormous amount of our "down" time here at this site. it is the only fishing site i really stay on. on another site...but just check it for one thing only. not there for any real time. see, i am spending most of my tme on the computer on this site only. now when the weather gets right, i will be fishing more. but till then i spend the majority of my "free time" here. no... i ain't getting in no trouble from the mrs either.lol. she is just glad i ain't looking at porn, hahahaha.
but after i get home from work, get settled in and all i am usually found here. just wondered if any one else does the same. another thing i want to know is how many of you out there tell other folks about kevins site. i am constantly getting told to come on while we are at wally world cause we have shopping to do. see... i am in the fishing dept talking to folks and writing down this site for others to try out. in other words, i preach it to every one i meet.lmao. we have a couple of members who i have met on here now. others have checked it out, but as of yet haven't signed on. but they will i am sure. anyway. let me know gang. thanks!!

I have passed the site on to a lot of folks as well. I only suggest two sites when it comes to fishing forums. this one and then sdfish.com because it specific to my region.

Yep, come home from work, play with the dog for a few then come on here. I visit a few other fishing sites but here is home. I quit visiting Bill Dances site because they stopped all posts on politics. I posted my thoughts on how we should approach politicians for the betterment of the sport and my post was deleated. Since then I have never gone back. Pa is a state that has an equal amount of fishermen and hunters. My personal opinion is that the hunters get catered to more then us fishermen except for the put and take trout folks. Believe me I really am not complaining about either because I used to do both. Now for the most part I have hung up the guns and don't fish for trout anymore. We do have a program for bass though. It was a secret but a lot of folks are finding out that the little trout lakes hold some mighty big bass by PA standards.

I have found myself here a lot, too. I really haven't told anybody about it though because I only fish with a select few, and their idea of a computer is a calculator. If I'm not here though, I am at:
pokerstars.net mdwfp.com (I think I will go add the site to my sig right now - Done) bassresource.com (Mostly read, post ocasionally) ebay.com (Dreaming about another truck and boat) myspace (If you gotta page, search gwelkins and send me a friend request) I enjoy the quickness for info and the laughs here. Plus I don't feel like I have got a dictator, um I mean moderator breathing down my neck like other places.

I spend most of my time here. Then it's on to a couple local fishing sites:
greatlakesbass.com michigan-sportsman.com facebook - I just got on there and spend time talking to people from 15-20 years ago fark.com I'll hit others, but not regularly. I have to watch my time on the internet or I don't get any work done! Edit: Those are all browsing with Chrome, then there is always either a window of Firefox open on Pandora or IE with NPR. |

Truthfully speaking, I spend time on a limited number of sites and usually have them all opened at the same time on different tabs for my Internet Explorer.
I have been moderating the Texas Fishing Forum since about 1998 or 1999 (can't remember which), and I still have many friends on there. I am also on the Allatoonabass.com forum which is a forum here in Gerogia primarily for the local lake nearest my home. I spend about the same amount of time on here. On rare occasions I go to other sites like the BBC and BFHP, but only for a couple of minutes. The three sites I justed listed are the ones I "feel comfortable" on and find the most relaxing. I hate sites that are fast paced and antagonistic, or ones that have a bunch of useless banter. There are sites that don't control the profanity and subject matter, I have no use for those kind of sites. As for how much time I spend on here (or other sites), well if I am working out of my home office, I keep both my company laptop and my PC turned on all day. If not, I spend about 2 hours in the evening on here and then I shut it down and watch TV (or fish during the warmer months, I fish a lot of local night tournaments during the week). On the weekends, I try to go fishing or work in the yard on the prettier days.
