off the schneid
Finally got off the schneid with my first fish of the year, , went to a small lake before work today and got two!
landed one and got the other to shore before she threw the hook did not even think I had one till I got her close so I never got a good set. Did not expect to even get anything this morning the water was like a Café Latte with the temp at about 56 or 58 degrees. My big surprise was what was bitting, I T-rigged a melon pepper tube with a dart head. The first bite I was just retrieving somewhat slow as I was out of the zone I was targeting. After I moved spots and my jig was not working I decided to try the tube again with the slow retrieve and boom it worked. I'm just glad to have finally got something, now I'm ready to start hitting the water if only the weather would play nice. |

It does feel good and I'm ready to go again, going to get my float tube ready in case I get a break in the weather tomorrow. |

Congrats on your best year ever. That's how I would look at it anyways.
