It's been unseasonably warm here lately. It was 81 yesterday and will have highs in the low 80s each day this week (supposedly)! Upper 70s over the weekend and low 60s for highs by early next week. I could live with highs that NEVER got about the upper 60s!

Jesus once walked on water out to a boat all his disciples were in. When he got there, Peter wanted to walk on water, too, so Jesus told him to step out of the boat and walk. He stayed on top of the water for a minute, but then his faith wavered, and he began to sink, until Jesus caught him.

So, with enough faith, would you say it is still possible to walk on water, or was this story not meant to be taken literal?

Jesus said that all you need is faith the size of a mustard seed, and you can tell a mountain to fall into the sea, and it would do it. How literally that was supposed to be taken, I don't know, but the walking on water thing is very literal. Peter walked on water until he let the storm and waves get into his head and distract him.

I'm confused, so what does it mean that no one today is capable of walking on water, or commanding mountains to fall into the sea? Does it mean that there is not a single person with any faith?

They had some sort of prayer session in Texas for rain earlier this year, all those people had tons of faith. I believe they're still having a drought. Make your own conclusions.

Actually millions of people all over the world have tons of faith and its visible every day, most often seen in peoples personal lives like being healed of sickness and disease, being set free from addictions and a sinful nature, not the show off (circus trick) kind of thing like moving mountains and walking on water.

John, thanks for taking my comment the way it was intended, it would have been easy to see it in another light.

i jsut had a bad morning fishing. i FINALLY got to go to g'ville and it was a bust, TOTAL bust. and i doubt if i will be able to go again this year. so it hit me kinda hard ya know.
but things will be ok, going to mississippiboys at the end of the month, HOPEFULLY things will calm down and we'll land a few dinks.

John, don't put so much emphasis on the catching, it's the fishing that we need to try and enjoy. I know, easier said than done, but if you think about it, I bet you had a blast today just being on the water in your boat.

hahaha, taves.....i would still be out there if i could have stood the wind. 20-25 mph winds.........can't handle it buddy. i don't care if i don't land a fish. i jsut want to be out there floating around. a little wind is great. but gusts of up to 30 mph? nope. hahahaha!!!

like i said....before the sun came out in full blast it was GREAT. but then............oh well. maybe next trip.
