Thanks for the offer, Ron, but I'd hate to take your mom's house away from her. Tell her she can keep it.

This one's back up again, but for $5500 instead of $6500 like last time. Already sent the guy an email.

The only bad thing about the boat that I know of is that the trolling motor doesn't run on the 24v setting. It does fine on 12v, but not the 24v. It might just be one battery is bad, or there could be more...I have no idea, and I'm not an electrician. I'll have to check and see what I might be getting myself into before I commit to it.

Daniel..i got a troller that will work. IF i can talk lisa into me getting that new one i been wanting. you know it works just fine, but only a 56# thrust. think you'd be interested? or are ya gonna try to find the wiring break under the foot or in the motor? tae an extra battery when oyu go looking at it. check the wires EVERYWHERE not just the troller. mine are starting to get aged and are in need of replacing. looks VERY nice to me from the pics man. I would go chec this one out. 20 foot 7 inches, is NICE!

Taking another battery is a good idea. If I buy this one, I'll probably spend some time playing with it first to see what might be the problem. There's a few good boat places here in town that probably wouldn't be too expensive that I could get to fix it for me.
If it's not just a bad battery, I'll probably negotiate him down a little more on the price.

So, all I am to you is a Swiss bank account? Somewhere to hide something so you won't get caught with it?
I thought we were better friends than that. I'm hurt...

You know, you could just call me and ask...but I digress...
I'm waiting on word from my brother in law...he lives about 15 minutes from the seller, so he's going to go by and look at it for me, just to give it a quick once-over to make sure it's worth me making the three-hour one-way drive Saturday. If he gives me a good report on it, I'm taking the money down there Saturday morning, and hopefully bringing it back with me that evening. How big of a deal do you think the trolling motor not working on 24v is? A couple people on BBC have had the same problem, one was a bad battery, the other I think was the plug or something else pretty straight forward. Should I really try to negotiate him down because of that problem, or just let it go?

If you go man, have him park another rig right next to it. and plug the troller up into THAT rig and see if it works. Understand what i mean? That way you can see if it is the boat or the troller. outta narrow it down jsut a little bit anyway, lol. Take a tester with ya, inexpensive and oyu can get it at wally world too. If you think it is a huge deal, it is a huge deal daniel. ask to take off a littel more to make YOU comfortable, couple hundred dollars ought not make him mad about that. It would cost you that much at least ot replace it with another USED troller right? If he says no, let it go if oyu like the rig.
Is oyur bro-out-law (lol, kidding), gonna see if it'll crank while he is there? That is a selling point right there. I REALLY hope it works out for ya man. You ain't very nice with THIS monkey all over your back ya know. He is whupping you like BAMA whups football opponants, hahahaha.

He sent me some more pics of it this evening. Everything looks good, under the layer of pollen. I'm gonna have to learn how to operate this thing...it'll probably feel like steering an aircraft carrier, compared to my little boat.

sweet sprint boat-it's red... once you get a sprint finding a better fishability in a boat is VERY diffacult..a 207 with a 200 hammer. kind of an odd combo-most run rudes- .i do know the 207 pro tourny handles great my friend has one.. a four blade ss prop is what he uses..

I like it daniel...ALOT. ONLY problem is the troller, 50 # thrust is NOT gonna be enough my friend. YOU'LL BE LIKE ME AND HUNTING A 80# OR BETTER. And lash is correct.........LOTS OF STORAGE!! From what i have heard, they are very smooth in rough water too. Zooker may be able to tell you more on that subject. Motor looks clean too. I say, test it out and run it like you stole it.

Yeah, the trolling motor probably gots ta go, but maybe not right away. I'll see how it does first, and if I can get it to work on the 24v setting.
One question for the boat gurus...the guy took theoriginal 25p prop off, and put on a 19p. He claims it has a good hole shot, and will still do 70 on the top end. I'm not a speed demon (but I might turn into one once I get this boat), so the top end is not nearly as important to me as the hole shot. Whaddya think, is the 19 really ok, or should I use the 25, somewhere in between....?

you already know what i think about the prop. but trust me on the troller, you have been in mine remember? it is a 56# and this one on the rig oyu are looking at is a 50#. see if he has a bigger one to trade up to. 70 or better would be MUCHO grande i think.

Daniel that is a good looking boat. And as far as I can tell it sounds like a pretty good deal too. The boat has quite a bit of storage which is something that you can never have enough of and I really think it would make you a good boat. As for the prop, there is absolutley no way that boat is turning 70mph with a 19p prop. Maybe I shouldn't say no way but I sure would have to see it to believe it. I think 19p is not nearly enough prop for that rig. I was running a 25p Temptest on my 20 Ranger and was working it's butt off to hit 70 mph. Now I don't think that speed is a huge issue to you so don't think I am saying anything negative about that boat, I am just answering your question (or at least I think I am lol). Check and see what props that motor should turn because I question if it should even have a 19p on it.
Good luck though buddy, I know you are wanting a new boat and it sounds like you are close now.

Yeah, the more I check into it, the less likely I think 70 mph is. I honestly don't care if I get 70, or 65, or 60...I'm not doing any tourneys, so all I want to do is get to where I'm going. A couple of guys on BBC are worried about the motor hitting the rev limiter with that prop on there, and are guesstimating it might run 58-60 WFO. We're taking it on a test drive in the morning, so I'll have a chance to see what's really going on. He's including the other 25p prop with the boat, so I can try both and see which one does better for me. If the 19p doesn't work, I might sell it and find something like a 23 or 24...Who knows? Now I've got a big toy to play with, there's no telling what might happen.
Anybody know what kind of RPM's it should be turning? I think it should be right around 6000, but I can't find any definite answer online...
