My 14FT Electric Bass Boat Project
I needed a small boat, without a gas motor on it... I found a great lake and was ran out because of my gas motor on my bass boat... I decided to make me a electric only bass boat...
I took pictures from begining to end, while I converted my 14Ft Tracker Topper, into a mini-bass boat.. If you would like to take a look at the pictures, I have them posted on my face book. I just floated it yesterday for the first time and it it was level and sat in the water awesome... Let me know what you think. http://www.facebook.com/NiceKentucky...1&id=606104975 |

As commented in another thread, you may just find that putting a deck on top of the factory seats makes the jonboat very unstable. Those boats don't have the size, weight or draft to provide stability with the center of gravity now so much higher. Imagine standing on the sides of the seat tops.
This could be a real problem if/when you stand off center near an edge or get into some rough water. Test carefully. I'm thinking maybe you shoulda put the TM on, then maybe just padded the existing seats (or added swivel seats) and carpeted her ???
