the reason some of us set the hook almost instantly upon the bite becomes perfectly clear in this video..

the guy is uncle homer by the way..old but good

Yeah that was great, watching that got ants in my pants to get out and go fishing already. it's still too cold here though. Too cold for my liking at least. I'm sure the fish would bite if I could bear the cold and fish my jig - n - pig slowly. Anyway, I here there's going to be a bunch of new bass fishing videos being posted sometime this month here. Thet're supposed to have all sorts of free videos like instructional, how to's, i heard comedy stuff toohttp://www.bass-city.com/index.asp

Love the video, but I could do without the static or so called music in the background. It's been some time since I have seen Uncle Homer, hope he is still around and kickin it out on the water.

Makes me wanna head out to the lake right now.

I read in a book where this diver watched someone throw baits and the guy on top sometimes didn't even know a bass took the bait. Which leads to two conclusions. One, sensative rods and line and two, bass attractants. Another would be gas or sun screen on your hands transfered to the baits causing the bait to be rejected. A lot of guys ask if attractants are useful. If they cause the bass to hold on to a lure so you can detect a strike I think they would be.

That is also featured in a fishing film made back in the late sixties I belive, called " old bucketmouth" . I seen the part of the film you mentioned above, where a guy is on shore and he is cranking in a crank bait, a huge bass comes up and inhales the crank bait and let's it go all in a split second. When the man from shore is shown the film, he admits he never felt that fish. Makes you wonder how many times this has happened to us huh?
