Zara Spooks, Reel Storage, and Jigs...
I have 3 questions that involve the title.
1. Which color zara spook do you guys have most luck with? I picked up an original today in white with red head. Figured I'd see what your favorites are. 2. I bought a cover for my baitcaster so the finish won't be damaged the problem is there is no hole for the line to fit through when you slip the cover over it. So my question is, what do you guys attach to the end of your line when you reel it up against the eye hole for storage? I used a split shot but I think I can find something possibly less damaging to the eye hole. 3. Finally I bought a couple of jigs today 1 football, 1swimming, and 1flipping. Where do you guys stick these in your tackle boxes? I don't really want to lay them on their sides because it might screw up the plastic skirts... Maybe I'm just over zealous about my lures to I dunno. Lets hear it. |

uh the spook i have had most luck is the brown chub, never seen one here but it has worked well on all the waters i have fished
i am making a bone white one with some blood in addition to my perch massacre one. well see how that works

I like topwaters with a white, orange or chart belly, yours sounds good to me!
I have at least one setup for each style of fishing I do, so I just leave the lure on, and attached to the hook hangar if the rod has one, if not, I just attach it to an eye. I use a Falcon jig box, hangs them in there nicely. Since you only have three, just stick them in a compartment, if the skirts are rubber, put them by themselves, if not, just keep them away from worms. If you stick with the jigs, and the falcon box won't work for you (doesn't do football jigs), look for a Plano flipsider, they work nicely for jigs. |

2. Dam said it. I do use reels covers sometimes, only when I can find them rotfl. 3. I wouldn't worry about the skirts, they handle laying down just fine, just put them in seperate compartments. Lizards
