Bass in captivity
I was at the Bass Pro Shop in Portage, IN a couple of days ago and I was checking out their fish tank and they had to of had a largemouth bass in there that was 10+ lbs. Being from IL I don't get a chance to land many 10+ pounders but I was curious what was the largest bass you have ever seen in a tank like this? P.S. I'm considering sneeking in late at night and throwing a jig or to in and see if I can hook her... J/k!

I live about 25 minutes from the BPS in Portage. It's a great store. How did you like the waterfall WIU? Did you see the mounted display of the moose and wolves? That was awsome. That is a great big ole bass in their tank. There is a store called Lunkers up in Edwardsvile Michigan up across the state line from South Bend. I don't know how big that bass is but I bet it's bigger than the one at Portages BPS.

Yeah the store was actually bigger than I figured it would be. I like bout an hour and a half southwest of it other wise I'd probably be there everyday. Never heard of lunkers, but maybe the next time I'm up that way. I bout a bunch of stuff, I'll prolly post some pics when I get my digital cam pics transfered.
FYI the seafood restaraunt attatched to the BPS was pretty darn good to. |

Woods n Water in Tuscaloosa has several in their tank over 10, one I would guess is around 14. I've also seen a 14 in a cinder block tank in Florida.
PS, I ate at the islamoralda or whatever restuarant at the BPS in Jackson and it was very good too. Had a buffalo burger.
