2000 yards is a lot of line. I really only change my mono once a year. I may change it more due to twisting and knots, but other than that, once a year every spring before fishing starts. The thing is, mono will go bad after a while especially exposed to sunlight.

If I keep the Ande in a place away from sunlight and stuff, how long do you think it will last? (I really don't think I would be able to put it in the freezer) I was planning on getting the 1/4lb spool, but if the 1/4 kinks, then I might go with the 1/2.

Oh, another thing, Since it's found in the saltwater section, will they wtill have it at my bass pro (Detroit, MI)? Figuring the new one in toledo won't be up for a couple more years.

Thanks for the info Zook,
BB

You don't realize how wrong you are with this statement. I got to fish in '99 with a legend, Mickey Bruce, and he was working a crankbait through a little 6' cut area that had gravel at the bottom and grass and mud at the top. He was catching fish on the crankbait and I was washing baits. I asked him what was going on and he said to pause the bait after hitting the gravel. If I felt a little "tick" after hitting the rocks it was a fish and I should set hook. Sure enough, bingo, fish in the boat the next time it happened. I caught three that day and a limit the next day with another pro.
That little tick was all I was going to get and if I didn't feel it I never would have caught those fish. I ended up finishing in the top 35, walked away with a nice check, and still have the plaque on the wall.
