A Message To The Members

Dear Members,

We're excited to announce that we will be changing the look and feel of our forums to better serve our members.

This change will help engage our members in serious discussion regarding techniques, strategy, bass boats, and more, while still offering a section that is more geared toward casual conversation. We have even included a section to accommodate bait monkey chit chat.

Our plans for Fall of '09 are to continue with high quality instructional presentations. To compliment that effort, we are looking to encourage our forum members to share a deeper and more thorough detail of their knowledge, versus the more frequent one-liner.

We will also be working to polish the look and feel of each post by suggesting more awareness to punctuation, capitalization and grammar.

Keep your eyes open for new administrative assistance. I thank you for your fellowship and patronage and am excited about where we all are headed!

Kevin, just from a quick glance, I think it looks pretty good.

Can't wait to see some new videos. While I'm guilty of the one-liner responses, I do think more detail helps the person asking the question a lot more.

I'm looking forward to it, Kevin. I am especially happy about the grammar comments. Reading poorly spelled and constructed posts sometimes causes me actual physical pain.

I volunteer to be the Grammar Narc! (haha, just kidding)

Asking people on a message forum to spell correctly or to use grammar properly is like asking a 5 year old to solve Calculus. While it may be possible, you shouldn't expect a miracle.

this is true,however,if we correct that person again,and again.
eventually,they will start being more cautious about their spelling and grammar.so as not to be singled out.

I'm just curious, I love this place and don't want the changes be like when my family, bought me a "new, better" chair and got rid of my old one...

Cmorg...if the worst posts were only half as legible as your posts, I'd be thrilled. You're doing just fine.

Plus, you run a heck of a rescue barge.

Shame you couldn't make our Hoosier get-together this weekend.

hey , I am sorry. I got alot going on , its like the final push before winter. Busy at work , busy at home. I will eventually do more fishing with you for sure , and probably with others. But , I bet its not until next year..

It has come to my attention that many have taken offense to our new enforcement of legibility, thoroughness and decorum. Let me be clear that any enforcement is not personal, but rather a business decision to help foster engaging conversations for the better of our community.

It has also come to my attention that many have deliberately criticized my efforts and have gone to the extent of mocking the efforts with purposeful posts. Those posts will be deleted.
