Thanks a lot keith, now I DEFINATELY won't have any money left. I'll have to go check this out someday... or maybe today.

Just got back from Gander... and what a dissappointment...

I went in and straight to the reels. I asked him about the Daiwa Zillion (marked to $249 from $269) since one of the guys on the other gander thread said they got one for 169. I asked if they could match the price at another gander mtn. He said the prices will all be the same...

Then I looked at the premier. guess what? Still at $259 or whatever retail was last year. don't they know this reel isn't being made anymore?!

Stupid Gander Mtn.

Greenwood and Castleton Indiana stores are all sold out. Better call first to save any disappointment.

They have several of the premiers here in Wichita, they are 139.00 with a 10.00 rebate, I would be happy to pick one up for someone if they wanted to pay the cost of reel + shipping.

My Dad is going at 10 because our Gander closed early last night. Im pretty nervous that somehow he wont end up doing it. Either way, I wont get my hands on the reel for a couple weeks cause I will just have him bring it down when he visits in march.

Losing feeling in my extremities as well thinking about that deal, I called and they have them. Its just hard to get my Dad to go do things sometimes, he's doing a favor picking it up, so I cant exactly call him and say "what the hell are you waiting on?!!!??"... Gotta be patient, like a big bass on the bed....come on Dad....get in the truck....its only 2 miles...come on...the checks in the mail...

Objective completed!
My father bought two, because when I called last night, I once referred to the reel as them, implying a plurality of reels, instead of the singularity I intended. That said, beggars can't be choosers, he did me a favor and I could probably make profit on ebay with the extra in a few weeks should I so decide. Therefore the monkey has successfully destroyed me for a little while.

$302 is a hard check to sign, but Im gonna do it. Just need a drink first. Damn monkey and his indeclinable deals.
