Default Test Footage of my home-made hatcam

Made my own Hat-Cam for 75 cents, took it on its first trip today and got one fish before I ran out of batteries on my camera. I forgot to fully charge it so only got about 25 minutes of film before it ran out but at least I got this one on there. 2 casts after my battery ran out I caught and landed a nice 4lber so the moral of the story is.....charge your damn camera lol.

I used an old hat I had laying around so it was laying low on my head. Going to Walmart tomorrow and buying a few different hats to try out next. All the setup is, is a proper thread bolt 1/4" - 20 from Home depot and then eyeballed the center of the hat as far back as I could and drilled a small hole there. Then I threaded the bolt through the hole with a washer to evenly distribute the bolt and then threaded on the camcorder. Hope to have the new version ready tomorrow afternoon and take it out again......with a full charge on the battery.

I always enjoy watching hat cam videos. Looking foreward to seeing more from yours. Good luck finding that perfect hat.

I'd like to borrow that the next time I go snowboarding, skydiving, or fishing. Nice!
