Zooker alert!

Ok gang. I am sick with the cold/flu/sinus something or another. But Mrs. Dickerson called me and lisa answered.She told lisa that he is being very lathargent,not wanting to get out of bed (cause the nurses aren't trying to make him i think), not wanting his computer to check on things, losing his muscle tone. And really just down and out. HE NEEDS US TO CALL HIM SAID MRS. DICKERSON! So i am gonna post his room number and ASK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU HERE TO CALL HIM. He has his nights and days mixed up so it doesn't matter what time you call. She said he needs some TOUGH LOVE right now. So we all have GOT to do it. She needs our help to get him back on track or he may not make it. She didn't say he has given up, but it sounds like he might. Like i said, i didn't talk to her and i am having a very hard time typing this now. But i am gonna call him tomorrow and cuss his arse out if he sounds like he is giving in. I know that most of you here haven't met him or talked to him in person. But if you have talked to him through this site, PLEASE take out 5 minutes of your life to call him. Talk about how spring is just around the corner.........or what to use at a certain place or something...ANYTHING to get him motivated.
Thank you gang, i know i can count on you to do this.
Don't talk to him about how bad he is, just tell him to not give in and talk about fishing, or hunting. We all know he loves to do ALL these things. So if you are a big time hunter as well as a fisherman, talk about that.

I just talked to him for about 10 minutes...He said she should be all better and be able to take me fishing when I visit him in August. He sounded a little tired but he did most of the talking as usual. He had to go,the nurse came in with something for him....

Man Bama I hate hearing that. I know you said he has his days and nights mixed up but I still don't want to call him this late incase he is asleep, for some reason it just seems better to wake him up during the day if I do indeed wake him up. Anyways thanks for posting and I will call him within the next few days.

Just talked to Zooker a little bit ago. Man that guys goin through some crap. He seemed to be in decent spirits though, talking about fishing of course.

hey bama its hard to talk to someone when they are in the shape hes in, i have talked to him before on here and has helped me a ton when ever i asked a question, so if its not to much give him my thoughts and prayers and tell him hospital beds don't float yet but with no fears brain we could get him out on the water if he doesn't get his but out of that darn hospital cause springs almost hear even in michigan. thank you matt

Just hung up with Zooker and he sounded pretty darn good! Much better than the last time I talked to him. And as usual, he was full of advice and opinion which is really great to hear again! He said give him 3-4 weeks and he's ready to hit the water. So he's obviously in a fighten mode. Again a great sign!

Keith, i talked to him earlier today. Around 2 pm central. And he did sound more like the ol zook we love. He was wise cracking on me which is okay by me, lol. And tn bassin...i want one of his PIGS smoked on that pit. His mom told me she is ready for some of his RIBS, hahahaha. We'll get him back gang.

He's somethin else for sure. It can be hard to talk to someone who's in a hospital bed, but I really recommend for everyone to give him a call, even if it's only for a few minutes.
Our support can do nothing but positive things.
He refuses to have those awkward pauses in a conversation, just keeps on jabberin lol.
Not sure about his take, but I certainly felt better after talking to him.

I just got off the phone with zooker. He said to tell ya'll hi and let you know he's still breathin'. He seemed in good spirits, though he's still having some issues with the low blood count and it's complications.

He asked what was going on here on the forum. I told him same ole knuckle-heads chasing fish and some snow bound folks dreaming of chasing fish.

Thanks donald, lisa tried to call him at lunchtime but to no avail. She tried again about the time you were talking to him, so i guess he was tired of talking,lol. Thanks again, i'll call him tomorrow during the day if i can while at work.

Talked to the man today, he sounded like the ol ZOOKIE we all know and love. He is doing great right now. May get paroled in a few weeks. Let's all keep up the prayers for zooker, [atrick, and everyone we know here. Prayer works gang, it really does work.

Just got a call from John, who had just gotten a call from Zooker. He gets to go home tomorrow. From what John said, they need him to rest up and gain some strength back so he'll be in better shape for the next treatment, whenever that will be.
John will be on later tonight with more info, and I bet Zooker will post something as soon as he can get to a computer.

Daniel hit ont he nails head. At least that is what i THINK he said about regaing stranght. He may say different though. He is just so happy to get sprung form the prison he might have told me something different, hahahaha. I am sure he will get online this weekend. So lets all keep on with the prayers gang.
