Default Now That's What I Like To See

http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/37015

Especially for this coming Saturday, got a tourney, and crossing my fingers for at least 45 degree water temps.

Spring is coming ever closer.

noooooooo we hate spring break down here... we get nailed with all the crazies...

During the winter we get the northern old people (snowbirds) that drive 30 under the limit, even when it is only 20 mph (yes it is MPH not KPH)...

During the spring break we get the drunk kids causing all sorts of problems, we have learned to stay 30 miles away from the beach which means driving north to go shopping. There are reports of drunk kids getting into accidents even at 7AM, passing out and sleeping on the beach...

During late spring all the drunken saltwater fishermen come down because there are short closed seasons for many saltwater fish from Feb to late Mar or late April so when it opens back up they come swarming...

During the summer we get tourists from all over either driving super slow looking at every grain of sand, swerving over because they almost missed their turn, or sitting/slowing down at a green light because they are looking at their map/GPS/cell phone directions.

During the fall we get a small break between the tourists and the snowbirds which is the best time of year, usually early October to early November... of course the damn Destin tourism people weren't happy about this so now they have the Destin Fishing Rodeo during the month of October ... luckily that is a small group of a few thousand concentrated in Destin and close to the beach so they don't bother us up this way.

I was thinking about going down to our house in Destin and being one of those college kids causing trouble. But plans fell apart so now I am just going to go fishing all week long.

That's odd. Up here in Michigan, the worst vehicle to get stuck behind is a camper or motorhome with Florida plates.

They can say it all they want, but the 3 years I lived in Florida, I drove just as fast as everyone else, and faster than most

In my time traveling coast to coast in a car over the past 15 years, the 2 states with worst drivers (no offense to anyone specific here) is Michigan and Georgia, with California coming up close behind them.
I don't mean worst as in just annoying not using blinker type of stuff, I mean worst as in dangerous, rude, on the verge of causing a wreck every time they get near another vehicle dangerous.

Sometimes. Nothing beats a liquor store with a drive through window. When you're 21, that's like heaven on earth

I can't speak for Michigan, but I can certainly attest to California and the worst, hands down, is GEORGIA. Even my own home state of Texas has a reputation for folks constantly willing to push the envelope (speedwise). I live in Georgia now and I must say that the drivers here are ruthless, especially in around Atlanta! I don't even challenge them, I just get the heck out of the way!
