fishfinder compatibility problems
Hope this doesn't sound too stupid. It will be on a Lowe ST170. The package includes a Lowrance X50DS and I would like to also include a Humminbird 597CI HD DI (GPS) combo (better graphics than Lowrance elite 5 DSI). Any thoughts on weither they will work together without interference? Or is the difference in graphics not that severe? AJ B
BTW my first boat ever. |

i think both will work jsut fine..by themselves. oyu can't connect them to each other i don't think. but oyu can turn them on and have each work at both ends of the boat.

I run 2 hummingbirds and a Lowrance. The Lowrance X510C in the dash and the 'bird 1197 to the right of the helm work fine with both on (other 'bird 798 is up front). They (Lowrance & Humminbird) will not, however, link together and share information. The 'bird's tranducer is mounted on my jackplate and the Lowrance is inside the hull.

Many thanks to bamabassman, lilmule and bassboogieman for your help! It's greatly appreciated. Forgot to ask this in the original post. Was planning to use the Bird at the console (better graphics and gps) and the Lorance on the bow. Is this th right way to hook em up? aj b (a cajun transplant living in South Carolina)
