In Maine we pay $23 for resident annual license, runs through Dec 31st, no matter when you buy it. It covers all freshwater fishing and ice fishing.( I know you guys are saying "ice whating?what fishing?whatwhating?"

Also, in a move that has salt water sport fisherman in an uproar is that the state will begin requiring them to buy licenses for the first time EVER. This is in addition to a freshwater license if you want to fish both salt and sweet water. All they really needed to do was put a box on the fresh water licenses that says "I fish saltwater, too". This is to comply with new federal requirements to track saltwater sport fisherman.

Quote:
i spend some $$ in my licence..

Resident Junior Sportsman
Residnet Migratory Bird
Resident Migratory Waterfowl
Resident Freshwater Fishing
Resident Saltwater Fishing
Turkey Tags
Doe Tags

haha

the junior sportsman gives me a little break on the regular licencing..

it includes like the Big Game Permit and some other stuff too.

we have to have a permit to shoot doves , one to shoot ducks, duck stamps, permit for deer and a permit for turkeys and turkey and doe tags.. haha

my licence is a costly thing

Like Mibasser stated in the other thread, $15 for a fishing license and another $13 for a trout stamp if you're gonna fish trout or salmon

Ouch but Capt. covers that cost with two trips. It's the rest of the expenses, his monthly bill from George's, that cost him the big bucks!!!

(George's = sweet little chicken and rib place in Indian Head, MD.)

VA - The cost went up from $12 or $16 for fresh water to $20 per year. Both fresh and salt are $30 I think.

I also fish NC and DC sometimes and get a 5 day for less than $10 for each.

"It's only money" would certainly apply in this case!

In CT it's $20 a year and as of this year you can only get the licenses online or at 1 of three retailers . Plus i pay another $20 to fish at a few privately owned properties which luckily are a stones throw from my house .

for annual resident Ohio, we pay $19.

I think we pay like $36 annual non-resident for MI w/o trout/salmon pass. I think that's 40.

Mine was
38.85 for the resident
12.10 for second rod stamp
4.45 for salt water stamp
3.00 for the colorado river
6.05 for steelhead
6.05 for the Delta
18.65 for albacore

At least I am a resident. Non-res 104.20 and then add the stamps

WA doesn't fuss around with stamps and such. They do distinguish between fresh and salt water. Roughly $20 for each for one year. If you got a freshwater license, it would be valid for any species of fish in freshwater.

Well I'm also planning a visit to Penn State on April 17, so I figured I would fish a bit too. I need to look into it, but buying a temporary license twice (maybe more, i fished in PA 4 times last year) probably would cost more than a full nonres license.

Here in NY state a freshwater lic is $19 from Sept to the Sept. I also get a Conn non-res freshwater lic for $40. There is talk about a saltwater lic coming real soon. NYC watershed permit and boat tags are free.
