First of the year.
Nothing to brag about but got my first of the year last week. Weighed in at 2.1 pounds which felt like a million pounds after 3 months of not fishing. Pretty as all get out too. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, I had to do some lighting and contrast editing to get it to show up at all since the sun was almost completely down. Caught him on the called last cast of a 30 minute fishing spree at my pond freezing my *** off. Used the good old Gary Yamamoto 4 inch Senko in Smoke with Purple flakes fished texas rigged weightless.

Congrats, I can't wait to get my first of the year. At the current rate the ice should be gone by May 1st!

Welcome to the nuthouse, and nice fish. Can't beat a Senko.
Bama, hopefully it'll change for me and you both this weekend. |

Funny thing was, we went back the next morning cause it was supposed to be Sunny and 50+. It was, only problem was that night was so cold there was a 1/4 inch layer of ice on the whole pond so we considered throwing rocks to break some patches for us to cast into but just said forget it and went to Dick's Sporting Goods and bought more crap. I swear its a disease cause I've got 3 full tackle boxes and still want more lol.

Its all a big conspiracy by the fishing lure companys to get all my money. Dick's Sporting Goods just emailed me a coupon good for $10 of a purchase of $50 or more and I have a $10 rewards certificate so looks like I'll be getting $50 of crap for $30 but what are the odds of me just spending $50? Gonna be an expensive journey to Dick's Sporting Goods tonight lol. I think some Booyah Spinnerbaits are in my future tonight as well as maybe a Spro-BBZ1.
