Inexpensive boat.
I am looking into buying an inexpensive way for me to get onto the water and here is what I am thinking about.
Choice 1: http://www.amazon.com/Sevylor-Fish-H...527551&sr=1-58 Choice 2: http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Access...527625&sr=1-29 Choice 3: http://pelicansport.com/index.php?la...=pursuit116dlx |

inflatable would be my last choice as it seems like it would be a huge pain in the butt.

GET THE KAYAK! I AM DEAD SERIOUS!
When I was 13 I was in the same situation. The inflatable and the belly boats sounded good, but were huge pains in the *** and I normally ended up fishing from bank rather than messing with them. Kayaks, however, are extremly versatile fishing vehicles that actually even give you an advantage on people in larger boats. Again, get the kayak. Or a canoe. Please.

I was leaning toward the kayak and was wandering it you might know how to mount a trolling motor on one like the one I listed.

To add a TM you would also need a battery. The answer is no. Paddling with kayaks is easy and gets you going about as fast as any trolling motor on a big boat, maybe a little faster.

I'd go with choice #2, a battery, a trolling motor. Forget the Kayak and paddling. You only have two hands...spend your time fishing not paddling.
Let us know what you decide. |
