Default Curado whirring noise....

Hi guys and Gals, my Curado 200e is making whirring noise during the cast. I cleaned it and oiled the bearings and did what the Shimano video said to do but it still does it, just not as bad. Any ideas why this reel does this. I have a second one that is perfectly quite.
Thanks for any help....

Jim

It's may be the brake tabs. Did you wipe a thin coat of oil on the brake ring? If not you need to use a Qtip to wipe the brake ring with thin reel oil. It can also be bad brake tabs that have plastic fringe hanging off them. Use an exacto to trim them up or switch them out. Most people only use 1 to 3 tabs in the on position, so It's a good idea to switch those off and use different ones turned on, every few months. The other thing it can be, and this is what it usually is, is worn bearings. Bearings get worn and the balls get smaller and they get noisy. Try a heavier oil or buy new spool bearings. You can usually find this from cleaning your bearings really clean in a us tank with acetone or by spraying brake cleaner through them, Dry the bearings and then spin them on the end of a taperd stick. they should spin 10 to 15 seconds and be completly quite. if they sound like balls clicking loudly, then it will buzz during the cast. I can sell you any bearing you need if you want replace or upgrade them.

Make sure the spool is not over filled on the curado , the line will rub the bottom of the frame if so...
