Sam Rayburn
What a time to be in east Texas. Duck hunting started on the 1st of October, Bow season for White Tailed deer opened on the 2nd and The Bass fishing on Sam Rayburn just keeps getting better and better. With the weather starting to cool and more rains in the forcast Fish are being caught in two feet of water. The lake is currently down to 3.5 feet below pool and the deep grass that has been had to find all summer is starting to mat up and provide some excellent fishing. Lilly pads are also producing and Can produce some good stingers when the sun is shining on them. Catching fish on spinnerbaits, flukes, Texas rigged worms, and rattle traps. Largest fish over the last month has been a 7.5, 6.25, 5.50, and a 5.25 with an abundance of fish ranging any where from two to four pounds. Good luck and tight lines.
