Default Look What Ike's Fishing With.

I've heard he did use the AG Veritas rod throughout the classic, but look at this.

Lets see if anyone can ID the rod. I knew it almost immediately after seeing the pic. Don't guess if you read the answer somewhere.

Original Ugly Stick from the way it gets lighter towards the tip.

He had one in his hands everytime I saw him. He caught that big 6Lber on a Veritas spinning rod.

As far as the rod pictured...I don't know.

Good guess Billy, but no, it's not an ugly stick.

We have a winner, lol.

It is a Fenwick Elite Tech Crankshaft. I guess this means no crankbait rods in the near future for the Veritas or Vendettas.

That's what I was thinking from the pic, but after watching the day 3 coverage, it has cork handles and is not a split grip, which the Skeet rods have... like mallen said it is a fenwick.

I actually had to look on ebay to find out which model it was but I knew right away it was an Elite Tech. Not quite as orange as mine though

I'm assuming you've got the spinnerbait model. Only one I know of that's half glass.

The spinner is more orange than the crankshaft.

Yep, much more orange. Now if I could just get out there and use it! I must say too, that that Catalyst looks amazing on the spinnerbait rod

If I had to guess I'd say its a Winch. Hard to tell from the pics, but it is dark colored and the handle looks longer than average. I do think the winch has a long handle than most Abus.

Ya that looks about right, but I don't see any drilled holes, but hard to tell from the pic... Could also be a tierra! But it's more likely to be a winch cause it's on a cranking rod.

And was he using a revo SX in the classic?

If you really zoom in on the pic, you can kinda see the gold drag star. You can also almost kinda see something that almost kinda looks like a hole drilled in the handle.

I'm pretty sure it is a Revo Winch. Has the same profile as all the other Revo's but has that deep navy color and Crankin handle.
