I kept the one in the garage b/c I'm having it mounted. Biggest bass I have ever caught and my wife offered to have it done for me. I just moved to Missouri from Louisiana and I normally fish for reds and specks. The bass fishing world is totally new for me,but I'm learning as much as I can. Looks funny fishing from my bay boat in the midwest for sure. I actually couldnt believe I topped it, but it was def. cool. Yes the fish with the red tail was on a bed.

man, I'm sorry to hear you kept it. I know you want to get it mounted, but there are much better solutions now days to a skin mount. Replicas have many many advantages. Two of the biggest are they last a lot longer than skin mounts and two, they let you release the fish. All you gotta to is get measurements and pics.
Sorry if it feels as though I'm mad, I'm not. I would definately want to get a replica of one if I could ever catch one like that, but just remember the next time you catch a hawg worthy of keeping, throw it back and get a replica. BB

Good looking bass! It's a shame she won't share her DNA any longer, but we've all been there.
