Default Hectic Fuel Gauge

My fuel gauge has started to go crazy everytime I turn on my boat. It wiggles around, but the furthest it goes is the true amount I have... Hope this isnt to comfusing.

it sounds to me like it is the fuel splashing around in the tank making the float read off the wall levels, which should settle down as the fuel quits splashing. but then you said it "started" which sounds like it hasn't done this before so i will stop acting like i know what i am talking about and hope that laser or someone else that knows more than me stops in soon.

My dad's van does this when he starts it up. After we get moving, it vibrates really fast, but it stays at the actual reading level.

Is that a flats boat, TB?
