Striped Bass on the Lower Chattahoochee
Alright guys, I need some dire help.
I live in Columbus, GA where there is great access to the Chattahoochee river. I've done the catfishing but now I have been told that there is some decent striped bass fishing on the river. (Around 10 to 30 pounds) I was told that 1/4 oz. to 1/2 oz. crappie jigs with a 3 inch grub in the color of either yellow, white, or chartreuse will work. But, I went out and couldn't get anything to take a bite or even a nibble. I have fished the entire water column with the jigs both fast and slow. I have tried a straight retrieve and a jerky retrieve to make the crappie jig bounce. I am fishing from shore due to the fact that I dont have a boat. The water is very dirty in the middle but gets a little clearer as the water level decreases. Now guys, I am dying to get a fish. It has been about three months since I have gotten a fish and I go fishing regularly. I am doing something wrong but I am not going to give up. PLEASE HELP!
