Default Weighted or not??

I'm going out in the morning to a local river channel. The bass here should be in pre-spawn pattern. I am going to tie on a Craw pattern rattle trap on one rod and am going with a trick worm on another. I will decide what color when I get to the river and see the color of the water. I can't decide whether to go with a T-rig, C-rig or go weithless.

Any suggestions?

I fish the St John's river a lot. Either weightless of with tiny bb sized split shot on those trick worms would be my choice. Fishing a c-rig on most of the rivers I've fished is just asking for retieing more than fishng. The wood is usually all over, and c-rigs aren't a good choice for timber IMO. If water is murky or stained, then I would go with junebug, if it's clear then a green/greenpumkin color is my choice. Might I suggest some Paca Craws, or ribbed style of plastics as well. They have also produced very well for me in the rivers.

Id fish that trap a little and see if ur getting bit up close first. If theyre up shallow go with weightless, if theyre backed off a lil go with the t-rig. Kind of let the situation and fish dictate how you play it.
