Default Palamor knots vs Improved clinch knot

Seems that a palimar knot would break just as easily as a regular knot with one line through the eyelet of the hook. Two lines vs. one line, if one line breaks then two lines will break.
Was using a palimar until I went back to using an improved clinch or a quik tie kot. After all it's alot quicker to tie a single line than a double line.
Now I use an improved clinch or a quik tie all the time. The way that I used to do. No problems then either.
