Default Float Tube or Inflatable Pontoon??

Well, I have discovered now is the time for me to get a boat. But since I cant afford a bass rig or something with an outbaord, I have decided to get a Personal Watercraft. Here is where I need help. Which is better for Bassin'? Float Tube or Pontoon. I know the tube is more compact, and the pontoon is more stable. Any advice is appreciated.

I would go with the pontoon. I know how it feels to fall out of a boat in front of a lot of people and it is funny but humiliating............... I like pontoons myself.......

PB I have been in one of those pontoons and it is stable. More so that a tube lol........ I dont have one but I have been bream fishing in a tube and fell out 3 times. Its a little unstable. I beleive the pontoon is the best choice lol.......... I could send you a 6 ft. Jon boat through the mail but I need it for Duck season lol

You will expend much less energy moving about in the pontoon...... Easier to maneuver once in the water. The main difference is how they react in the wind....hardly a concern in the float tube......but all in all, a 3 pound dumbell from wally world will take care of the anchoring problems. Pontoon, for sure between the two.

I bought me a pontoon and love it. Like everything I buy, I had to redesign it to fit my needs. My oars kept sticking me in the sides so I bought a set of adjustable oar locks and moved the oars out some. I also mounted a couple of "drop down" brackets on the inside area of the foot pegs, slotted them and added a 26" bike tire. I just pick it up from the rear and push it or pull it to my favorite hole. Some times I'll leave the tire on while fishing but most of the time I just remove it and toss it in the brush and retrieve it when I get back to shore.
