Bluemoon Bassin'
The wife and I went to the local hole yesterday evening to try out Ken's blue moon theory. Either it worked or they were liking my brush hog. The wife didn't fish, she just hung out and read her book. She loves to read and enjoyed her time. I would have stayed longer, but the pecker gnats were in full force and I didn't want the wife to get eaten up. I was hoping to get in on some frog action after dark too...oh well, we had a good time and it was worth the hour or so we were out there. This little hole is really starting to come around. I think now that the dredger has been out of there for a while the fish are starting to move out of the tullies.
On a separate quick note- this is the first pack of Zoom full size brush hog's that I've had and man I love these things. I definitely foresee many more in my future. |

Thanks for the share Shane.
It's great to here when someone gets a favorite or convenient fishing hole to cooperate.

I think you will find brush hogs to be fabulous baits. Hubby and I use them a LOT.

JD- This hole is convenient and there for a while it was very uncooperative. I haven't found a favorite hole yet. Back home my math teacher owned some land with what I believe he called a WPA (water preservation/protection agency) pond that was built during the great depression. That was my favorite hole, if I could get on it again I'd be happier than a pig in you know what. It had quality bass and crappie in it. One day...
Bassin'- I'm sold on them, from the time I opened the pack and pulled one out to the first bass I caught on them. I have some baby brush hogs as well, but I wasn't as impressed with them. I'm sure they have their purpose though...I just need to find it! |

Sounds like you are dialing in to what the fish prefer in the lake. Sounds like a nice outing.

Green pumpkin is a ky lake favorite, they do however make a saltwater version looks like a lobster so doubt if it was the largest.
