Methiolate Senkos
What are your guys opinions on the Methiolate color Senko style baits? I have a pack but have not had a chance to fish them yet. I heard this is the color to use when the bass aren't biting or biting very little. Also, when they aren't biting, what is the best way to rig them?

I love them methiolate senkos. I wish my BPS here carried them. I have to order them online and pay the rediculous shipping.

Dude, in my experience (and I am not that experienced), methiolate either works doesn't work. There is no in-between. On the days when the Methiolate color is happening, I usually do very well with it in the morning, evenings, and night but it has gotta' be a day when the Methiolate bite is on.
By the way, I have had great success with 5" Methiolate Senkos even though they only come in the "Senko-lite" version. My friend has done well with some generic Methiolate Senkos. This past summer, I also experimented with a Methiolate colored crankbait. I didn't get any takers on the crankbait that was completely Methiolate-colored. I did very well with a crank that had just some Methiolate painted under the lip. |

They do catch mudfish(bowfin), but then again I haven't found a bait in any color a mudfish won't eat rotfl.

Rebasser, I agree and disagree. Yeah, some baits are either working or not working but generally, you will still pick up a fish here or there even on day when a particular lure isn't the best presentation for the place/time. But with the methiolate, I will either catch a ****pod of fish or absolutely no fish at all.
