Thumbs up kerr lake " buggs island "

have a Tx first of sept. there, know the water is very warm, been on lake once before, BFL Tx, any ideas on what to start off with ?

Start with topwater!!! Hopefully the temps cool a little before then. Deep running cranks or C-rig deeper points or humps if they are still in summer pattern. Run shallow cranks if they've pulled up. Had a friend fish a Tx in July and the feeding fish were in 2' or less - not typical.
