Pond fishing
I've posted this small pond picture before...You can compare the size of the pond to a baseball field. (Lower left corner)
I was watching a Bill Dance show on farm ponds today and it got me to ask more questions. Water clarity - I don't know yet. Depth - about 15' at the pier (Gets deep quickly) Known Forage - Bluegill - you can spit from the pier and bluegill will come up and eat it. Public/Private - Public Park Pond -I never see casters on the pond, only bobber fisherman -I have SEEN these caught - Bullhead, Bluegill. -Trout are stocked there every year. -I don't know if there are bass there. -There is a sign next to the pond that mentions walleye, bass, carp, northern, bullhead, bluegill. Those are all fish that don't seem like they would be in a small pond like that. That's why I don't know if there are bass there. -I don't know how old the pond is. What would you throw out there, and what would you focus on? Thanks, Julien |
