Port Aransas+Offshore Report 12-27 - 12-31
There was a good weather window for the coast a couple of days after christmas, so we headed down. We were mostly going for some flounder and sharks, although neither really cooperated Either way it was a good trip with texasfisherman(Kyle)
Couple of undersized flounder caught off the bay pier. After seeing that there was not much action going on, we decided to take an offshore trip for kings, sharks and whatever else we may be lucky enough to catch. Mostly Kings, there was over 90 caught between 40 people. The captain told me we were fishing in a 20-mile radius mountain range, and it held some good fish. Bonito Moms first king ever, a pretty nice one. one of 7 kings i caught The day after that trip, we went shark fishing. We deployed a bonito chunk on one rod, and a huge 11 inch piggy perch on the other. We got no hits, but the guy next to us caught a small bull. tb |
