Default I'm confused!!!

Hey guys.. I sure could use your input. I posted here a couple of weeks back and told you that I had a bennington SFi 20 on order. Ordered the boat after seeing only pics ( new production model ) but I've learned a couple of things since then that have me wondering if perhaps I should make a different choice. No problem with the dealer, he'll order me either boat I have in mind. Ok, here's the deal.. the Benny is supposed to be a 20 footer, but I found out today that the overall length of the boat is 20', but the deck is closer to 18' ( by the way, I posted some pics of this model on this web site a few weeks back, title was something like " my new boat pics " if you want to go get a look at it... the other boat I was considering was a G3 208f ( http://www.g3boats.com/SunCatcher/208F/ ) if you want to get a look at the boat and some of the specs ).. the actual length of the deck on this boat is 20'. Then there's the matter of power, I'm told a 75 horse 4 stroke is the max I can put on the benny, but I can get the G3 with a 90 Hp 4 stroke. Then we come to the age old question of the type of pontoons used... Bennington uses the 25" round tubes, the G3 uses the "u" shaped tubes and have foam inserts in the tube.. From what I've read lately the U shaped tubes may be the way to go.... Theres no question that the benny is "prettier" and it has a great warranty, but these factors above have given me reason to re-think my decision. Oh, one other thing, I also read that on boats with round tubes, the deck is attached with "m" brackets, where as with the U shaped tubes (the G3), there is no need for the bracket and the deck is bolted right to the toons, supposedly giving the deck more strength. I"ve been told the benny is far and away a superior boat but from what I"ve read here lately, I'm wondering if I should ( pardon the pun ) jump ship to the G3. I would appreciate any input you guys could lend, and remember I've never owned a boat before so I am a true novice.. Please address all three issues if you can, deck length, motor power and shape and strength of toons.... and thank you in advance for your help...

Unless there's a great difference in price you can't go wrong with either boat. I do like more HP.

Cost is almost exactly the same... only difference in cost is the benny comes with a cover, the g3 does not. Oh yeah, on the deck specs... the benny is 8.5 feet wide, the g3 is 8 feet wide. As for hp, is there that much difference between a 75 4 stroke and a 90 4 stroke as far as performance goes...again, never owned a boat before so I am completely out of my league here.. Thanks again guys.

I would bet the 90hp gets better gas milage. Also a cover is a must. Your investing a lot of money, a cover will help protect your investment. Weather is rough on a boat. Like I said earlier, you can't go wrong with either boat.
