Default Steering Wheel Angle Problem

I have an 87 model fiberglass bass boat. I am 6'4 and due to the set angle of the steering wheel that is mounted to the fiberglass console I am having great difficulty being able to comfortably sit in the drivers seat due to my legs coming in contact with the bottom of the steering wheel. Does any one have a simple solution for my delima? I have been doing some research on this topic and have seen a angled steering plate wedge that can be placed behind the steering wheel on certain model boats. I was wondering if this would be the best method or would trying to find a tilt steering column that will fit my boat be the best bet? Thoughts?
