I wash my hands in doe estrus. Its all natural, readily available at BPS and does a great job of masking the human scent.

Does it give a "primal urge" while fishing?

I believe in scents. But i do agree not all are created equally. They mask human oders. Some even atract fish. Anise is a known atractant. In some states itz ilegal to use. So check your conservation regulations.

Vanishing Hunter works well to eliminate human scent. I use this stuff deer hunting. I ate a pizza once and you can smell it on your hands and on your mouth after you eat it. I sprayed this stuff on my hands and wiped my mouth and the pizza smell was gone. It's suppose to eliminate the smell of gas but I haven't tried that yet. It doesn't leave it's own scent behind either. Good stuff!!!

I use several different scents-Kickin' Bass, Carolina Lunker Sauce, Yum and Megastrike are the ones that come to mind. Do they work?

When Kickn' Bass first came out I tried an experiment with the garlic scent. Went to a clear creek where I could see the fish and rigged 2 identical baits and put scent on one. They jumped all over the scented bait and ignored the unscented one.

Did the scent attract them? Just make them hold on longer? Beats me, and it doesn't really matter. Maybe they work and maybe not, but IMO they can't hurt.

I use and trust Pall Mall brand cigarettes. I haven't been skunked in years.

Put me down in the Kick'n Bass camp. I rub it on my hands when I am fishing, that way when I am retying or adjusting my plastics, I am re-scenting them at the same time. A little of that stuff goes a long way.
