Man, this whole Winter thing needs to be cancelled. 8 frigging degrees this morning. I might have to move to Brazil and join "amazonfishin.com" instead.

Hahaha. I feel your pain, nofear. We keep getting hit with snow lately.
Friday, I was out plowing the drive. Altogether, the drive is around 1000' with 3 different areas to park. I plow on a tractor so it's pretty time consuming.

While I was cleaning it up, the plow breaks at a couple factory welds.
Been trying to find someone to weld it back up that is close by. Yesterday, I went to go into town and got stuck in the end of the drive.

Had to get the tractor out and pull myself out haha.
One of my neighbors saw this and stopped. He gave me a line on a guy right around the corner that can weld it up. Then I paid him 40 bucks to plow my drive.

Gotta get ahold of the welder today for sure!

I'm starting to get to the point where if it above zero then it isn't that cold. I think it was 5 this morning so not too bad. I'm sure Mallen gets more snow but here's a pic from out my window this morning.

Snow's piled about 4' high and it's still snowing. Wife and I bought snowshoes yesterday after I got done raking the snow off the roof for my first time ever.

Hard to tell from the pic but you might have as much, or even more than we do.

Current temp is MINUS 20 here in Southern MN (wind chills at -30, although is there really a difference between -20 and -30?!?).

We'd need to see a 50+ degree bump just to get up to FREEZING.

The only difference is the number of asterisks it takes for the filter to cover up the swear word in front of "cold".

Actually, we're having a heat wave today! It's 23 (14 windchill) up from about 15 (around 0 windchill) yesterday and about 5 (-5 to -10 windchill) the night before last.

And what, may I ask, is the temperature outside that requires two jackets?

For once, I won't add insult to injury on the weather.
You guys that live in those conditions have my respect. I have become too spoiled and want nothing to do with it.

We are supposed to have mid-teen lows for Friday and highs in the 20s and a chance of snow. It seems like it is beginning to be a reoccurring thing. Snow 3 years in a row in south MS, must be the environmental effects of El Muchacho.

Lewis Black does a great bit on Minnesota winters.

"You live in a cold that human beings aren't supposed to live in. And it's no test of the human spirit. It's ****in' stupid!"
