ok gang, ginger is now out of the O.R. the cancer spread to her lympnodes (spelling?). they removed as much as they could see. they don't know how far it has spread. i jsut now got off the phone with lisa, yes we are ALL pretty tore up right now. sorry if this gets sloppy. she is in recovery now. they started the reconstructive sugery after they removed all the cancer they could find. this is NOT how things were supposed to go. all we can hope for now is the chemo will kill what is left, unless they can see any more spots.
i am sorry, i can't type the correct words right now gang. so forgive me ok?
ginger will undergo 6 months of chemo for now. after that i don't know. lisa was too upset to really get into it. and i understand.

please continue the prayers for GINGER as well as her husband ALLEN SANDERS. they have 2 children, CHAD AND AMANDA, 2 grandchildren as well, THEY NEED YOUR PRAYERS NOW MORE THAN EVER.

i remain CONFIDENT she can and will beat this. but right now things are pretty bad. maybe after a few days things will look better. i will keep ya'll posted nevertheless.

thank oyu all.

John,

I've watched a loved one go through chemotherapy, so if you want to bend an ear at some point, I'm here.

OK GANG....A LITTLE UPDATE ON MY SISTER IN LAW ginger sanders. she is recovery good after 1 week. she is walking as much as she can. and eating too. she is still in a lot of pain form the surgery but confident she will beat this. the doctors removed 18 lympgnodes, 15 were cancerous, 3 benign. she will undergo chemo though. so it's goning to be a long year for her. she thanks all of you folks here for the prayers and asks to please continue sending them.
lisa is with her as i type. she'll come home for a few days, then back to ginger's. lisa tells me she is doing great on her therapy. walking, excersizing and so forth. she is determined to win this war. and i myslef have NO DOUBT she will.
i will post updates as i recieve them. thanks to ALL OF YA'LL FOR THE PRAYERS.

great update Bama.
Ginger keep up the great work, I know recovery can seem worse than the actual surgery at times.
Prayers are still going!

ok, another update on ginger folks. she had her chemo port put in and is now about to go through the first instalment of chemo. she is in some pain and discomfort fromt he port. her spirit is down some too.

lisa returned there today after attending the funeral of another sisters husbands mother. lisa is the baby of 6 remember? her sister sherry mother in law was laid to rest saturday. they live in mobile.

so lisa is now back in mongtomery to stay with ginger and will be home sometime.........
i am fine with it, although i do miss her dearly. but i know she is there to help gin and that makes me a PPROUD hubby.

ok, more updates will follow. thanks for the prayers gang.

Thanks for the update John, always good to hear as we're all concerned not only for Ginger but the entire family. Family support is very important in recovery and Ginger certainly has it, as well as those of us here that will continue pulling for her.
