Default Need advice on a spinning rod

I have a great bait casting rod and reel that I use 100 percent of the time only because I do not have a spinning rod. The bait casting set up is great for heavier BASS lures such as spinners, buzz, and crank baits. However it is a medium/heavy setup and I would like a softer tip medium action 6'6" spinning rod for soft plastics and slightly lighter crank baits that will offer a little more feel and casting distance. The bait cast is fine for puttin it to the fish, but when it comes to feel...it lacks. I fish for the BIG bass and will occasionally miss a few on topwater buzz baits and need a good spinner to give em the follow up with the soft plastic. Any suggestions on a -best for the money- rod that will fit my description?? Budget $75 to $100.

I would rather catch one 8lb bass than fifteen 2lb bass!!!

You can go to bass pro shops online and probably find dozens of combo rod and reels for that price, and also be able to judge the size of the reel if you're looking to downsize from what you described, plus go for a 6 ft or 6ft 6 medium or medium heavy rod

if you fish from a boat a 7 footer will work. i use a 6 footer for skipping under docks. but that is my personal choice. definantly use a mh action and match the reel to the rod..

Zook, that's no longer necessary. When Kevin made the last round of changes, he started showing the poster's location in the top right of each message.

I bought an Ugly Stik lite and i can easily feel pumpkinseeds hit it and i have reeled in 30 lb carp so i guess i would recommend this. I think it's a little longer than what your looking for though.
