Prayers for Don Barone

If you've ever read DB's work on Bassmaster.com, Wired2Fish, Inside Pro Bass or any of the places his writing shows up, you probably remember him. His pieces always start and end with song lyrics. He covers BASS but doesn't write about fishing, it's always about people and life.

If you read his work, you know that he was diagnosed with and underwent treatment for prostate cancer last year. Today he went public with something that could potentially be much worse, a tumor in his head. If you read and enjoy his work (or even if you don't) please keep DB in your prayers.

Thanks so much for sharing this news. DB is one of my favorite writers!!! I cannot begin to count the tears that have run onto my keyboard while reading his work. And the story of the squirrels getting to his bird feeders had me laughing so hard I had to stop several times to catch my breath and wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes. Will certainly keep db, bb and their children in my prayers.

Knowing what he's been through this last year, it damn near took my breath away when I read that this morning.

DB is a special writer. I rarely make it through an article of his without tears in my eyes, he always finds away to bring a story to light that nobody would otherwise know about and the stories are always touching.

DB certainly has my thoughts and prayers.
