Default Rain. Good thing or bad thing?

So here's my weather forecast http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USWI0628

It's suppose to get really warm (54) Thursday and rain. I'm sure that'll add some warm water to the river. But I also know it'll probably murk the water up ALOT. From the snow melting off, and the rain, it's gonna be muddy for sure. if this was bass in Florida, I'd toss a Colorado blade spinnerbait. But obviously this ain't florida!

It's gonna be sunny and still pretty warm, especially on Saturday.

So, good fishing, or bad fishing.

Warmer water = good fishing
muddy + rising water = bad fishing

So what's the verdict, and what would you throw?

Don't let the high muddy water scare you. It can help position the fish up shallow where they can be easier to catch.

Seriously Sammy, I now know your regulations better than you and I've even explained them to you. If you'll be fishing river trout, you should have said so in your post. And you might as well forget it if the water is rising and muddy. And bass lures like spinnerbaits don't catch trout...

Really, just wondering what type of sportsman you are? I totally understand that you are itching to fish, so am I. But deal with it. How many people from WI, MI, MN do you see asking what they should be using this time of year? We had another kid on this forum and was pretty much run off because of the same stuff that you are doing. Sorry it pisses me off that you just don't get it. As waterboy said, its the FEW that ruin it for the MANY. Don't be part of the few.

I thought we determined that there was no C&R season, and that catch and releases was open year round, and there's only a harvest season in my rejoin of the state.

I think we've some serious misunderstandings going on here; Can't wait to clear them up.

Not really. You need to look at the rules. The DNR's web page. The "season" when you can catch them is the first weekend in MAY until MARCH. Season is CLOSED MARCH - MAY. Take a look at it. Here is the list for you. http://dnr.wi.gov/fish/seasons/

And actually, you could have fished until March 4th (or their about).

Dang it, I hate it when you're right!

Well, thanks, feels good to finally clear that up.

The rules, just like in MI are very hard to understand sometimes.

Don't worry about it, soon we can all fish.

Might I suggest that you pick up a copy of the 2011-2012 WI fishing regulations booklet and read it from cover to cover? I would be willing to wager that there might be several other differences in the WI vs. FL fishing regs other than just having a season up here. Ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it.
