I don't understand how trouble in Lybia makes our gas go up, mabye I'm a simple minded arkansan, But it seems to me no matter who controls the oil over there muhabamdada or the rebels and admiral ackbar they will be willing to sell it to the US. It's just a way for big oil to make record profits again.

Ours went up .10/gal for regular, overnight Wed. - Thurs. Gone up .20/gal. since last weekend. Just in time for my trip to Alabama in a couple of weeks - guess I'll need to budget another $75 for fuel.

$3.39 here. the problem is our country comsumes more oil than any other country, and our "leaders" have the notion to use up all the other countries oil so we will have the last of it in the long run. then we will convert back to coal. then who know what. i think it is all just another scam really.

Well we are up to $3.50 here and feel that we will hit the $5 mark this summer... it is unfortunate though... I will be staying closer to home to go fishing...

I the last week I saw it go from somewhere around $3.15 to $3.49! I've been going through a lot of gas in the last week too with fishing Guntersville, Lay Lake, and Pickwick and driving all over the place. On top of that I drive a lot for work, headed to South Carolina next week so this really affects me. I'm going to have to start driving my little diesel car again.
In general I am for less government intervention into anything but in this case I sure would appreciate some control over the speculators that are falsely driving up the price of gas. |

Going to be using the trolling motor a whole bunch this year. One run and work an area and then work my way back to weigh in. Recharging trolling motor batteries is much cheaper than gas.....especially since the nuclear power plant provides my electric. That has only gone up twice in the 8 years I've lived here!!!

I'm going to start traveling more, putting more gas in my boat and anything I can do to help those dirty low down rotten bastages "to maximize their profits", while watching this country go to it's knees again. I just don't understand some people.

Add another DIME yesterday - $3.49 regular. Gusss I just have to add another $100 to the gas budget for G'ville in a couple weeks. I'm expectining it to be above $4.00 by then. Hey 'bama can ya fill a 55 gal drum for me at TODAY's price? That would fill the boat - ONCE!

There should be a law aginst what they are doing. Using speculation to drive up the price of gas to maximize profits to insane heights should be illegal. We should make big oil answer for itself in a court of law, if they can show where supply and demand are at play then that's another story. If they are just raising prices on "concerns of unrest in the Middle East", and because of "futures speculation" then they should be put in jail. It has gone on too long, it tears up our economy, and there is only about 1% of our population that benefits from it. Politians make promises but secretly do not care, as big oil is in bed with Washington.
