Default And it keeps on raining

Anyone flooded??? Hope everyone makes it through this one without getting hit.
I'm heading home due to flood warnings. Everything cancelled.

It's been raining for 3 days. Thank goodness it's changing to snow tonmight. Three to six inches of the white stuff tomorrow.

rain,rain........and more rain. flash flooding down in the vallys here. but not on this mountain! but after today, gonna be nice sat and sun. then.........some more rain monday and tuesday.

Some flooding around here, but the southern half of Indiana is really bad they say.

3dkicker we arent yet but Dryriver(wich is 1/2 mile from my house) is nearly out of its banks. I expect if the wet stuff keeps up tonight it will be out tomorrow.

I think in certain areas concrete may be the answer. However , I am not a hydro man , and as far as I know this falls under the Army Corps of Engineers. I couldnt imagine how much concrete it would take to make levees on both the East fork , and West fork of the White River system. They each run over half the state until they come together about 70 miles north of Kentucky.

ok....that explains it then. too much money for concrete for that distance. this is why the levees in new orleans were put back to what they were too. they were first built for cat 3 hurricaine, and replaced to the same. too much money. lives are not worth the extra dollars to fix it right. sorry, had to vent that out.

No , I understand what your saying. I have to tell you I went to New Orleans less than a year before that happended. I loved that city. Boy oh boy , good food , alcohol and women , what more could you ask for ??

Been raining enough here to keep the water a nice hershey chocolate color. Thought for a couple day there we were going to have another May flood on our hands.
