Anyone live close to Birmingham, AL
Anyone live close to Birmingham, AL?
I live in Alabaster and fish mostly from the banks (as I have clearly stated in many of my posts for those that are on here a lot). I fish mostly by myself. Does anyone here know of or have any private spots that they would allow me to fish at? I typically fish areas that are more than 5 miles from my house once every 3 to 4 weeks (if the wife allows it). I mostly stick to the few ponds and lakes within 5 miles of my house for before and after work fishing. Just checking so I won't get my feelings hurt if someone says no. You can PM me if you don't want to divulge the info on this public forum. |

Right now I live in Tuscaloosa.
There are lots of old abandoned mines and the cahaba river itself over in the cahaba wma near west blockton. That would be the only place I know off the top of my head, and its more than 5 miles.

i was raised up north of you pal. and used to fish alot of private ponds and what USED to be a public lake (mountain woods lake, hayden, al.). hate to tell ya bud, but...good luck finding a private pond or small lake in todays world. there are too many "bad" fisherfolks nowadays. have you tried the black warrior river? warrior river? or the locust fork river? lay lake, lake purdy, logan martin are close to you as well. god luck to ya, and if you find a lake...let me know, ok?
