Default gone fishing

I'm leaving to try to catch a fish to weigh in.I am targeting smallmouths since I can't compete with Lizards Largemouths.I caught 11 smallmouth yesterday, but nothing over 2.5 lbs.BTW Lizards, That chatterbait you sent me caught a 37" Musky yesterday morning.I didn't realize it but I also broke 7" off the rodtip while boating him,The bait didn't work right on the next cast, so I quickly reeled it in to unfoul the weed from it, but the rod tip was at the duosnap, not a weed. He was over 10 lbs, but not by much.I also caught 3 pickerel and 5 largemouth, but I missed about 6 bites on the jig, pulling the trailers appendages off.Glad to have my tow vehicle back so I can get out on the water. Well , I didn't get it done today.I caught 6 smallmouths this morning on topwater baits, nothing worth weighing in.I also caught 7 Largemouth between the jig and Rebbassers brand spinnerbait, again 3 lbs being the biggest. The smallmouth weren't where they were yesterday, I happen to notice one jumping, but it was out in the middle of the small lake, I went out and threw alot of casts per fish caught.I don't consider myself good at catching smallmouths on this lake, its not noted for being a smallmouth lake, but I catch a couple of good smallmouths there every year.Zooker , its Waneta lake , just big enough of a mud puddle for me to run out of gas on it today. on waneta the ramps is always on the other end of the blasted lake.. odds are if your on musky and smallies your on the lower end-the deeper end- of the lake..

Zooker, Glad to know you anit forgotten about home. It took me a couple of extra hours trolling motor back to the launch, Dang if the other boat at the house didn't have a full tank of gas I could have switched out before going. P N J
