Default Shimano Solstace spinning reel

well i needed a replacement reel for the other pole i had been using. the one that was on there was a very old mitchell , ive heard those are/were pretty good and they may be, but this 1 most definitely was not.,the drag was totally shot, not a smooth retrieve at all, not even sure what the ratio on it was, felt like 2.1:1 (exaggerating on the ration im sure) no matter how fast i reeled that thing in with a spinner on, it was barely fast enough to keep the blades turning.
so i ran over to Cabelas and picked up 1 these Shimano Solstace series for $39.00 actually pretty nice reel for that price, didnt want to spend a fortune on something right now but i knew i wasnt just gonna get a $20 jobber and have it bust in a week.

I have two of them. They work great and you sure can't beat the price.
