Default Another one making a change

I have been working overseas solid for 2 years and off and on the past 3. Well I just got back from Houston and I should be going back to the Gulf within the next couple of weeks. I will still be on rotational work, but I will be home more frequent. I have been on a 28/28 schedule that equaled about 32/24 with travel and jet lag another week that left me in a foul mood and quick on the temper trigger. But now I will be about 4 hours from home and making a little better money and working 14/14.

And for a kicker my boat is ready and I should be picking it up Monday. They video'd it at 65@5500 rpm and it is at the rev limiter at 6000 I think. He said they ran out of lake.

I can't imagine being away from the wife and kids for that long, 28/28.

I'm happy for you Bubba!

Did you get the BassCat?

Dayum, son...

I trust you know how to drive a boat 65 mph?

If not, be safe learning.

Sure...hammer down, trim up, hang on....what's there to know?

Bubba, first time you tote that boat to Okhissa or the Panther, let me know, I'll meet you there.

Thanks fellas.

And no Bryce, I have never drove a boat that fast and don't really plan on it to tell you the truth. But I could only hit 50 in it the other day and knew it was well capable of more. They said I probably wasn't trimming up high enough though. But time behind the wheel will get me there and Dirty being my copilot and everything.

Pics will be coming Monday because I will have to get everything for insurance.

Buddy I couldn't possibly be any happier for you. I am really happy that you have a new job that will allow more family time, and also for the boat. This proves that good things happen to good people.

Be careful learning to drive the boat. Every boat that is capable of reaching close to 70 has a certain point where the handling goes from a casual cruise to the boat trying to jump out from under you if you don't know what corrections to make and when to make them. Just ease into it and you will get her down just fine.

I'm real happy for you buddy. I know how long you've been looking for a boat, I'm glad you finally found the right one. It's even better that you will be home more often to enjoy it, you had a really good week!
