you can never take too much tackle to a tourny. my boat is always loaded with tons of tackle. i have had on several occasions when i wasnt catching fish at all and ive tied on somthing that i either never use or havnt in a long time and have caught fish. i just feel more comfortable having a lot of stuff at my fingertips.

i don't disagree with ya ryan but he was asking about a non boater set up... as you are aware boaters truly frown upon there back seaters haulin the kitchen sink with them..

wow.. this is really helpful... although i dont own 7 decent rods.. or reels.. and all my stuff fits into my little blue plano...haha

Its a minor thing but I liked how you used a label maker to mark the boxes so much that I stole the one at work and did it for mine. Nothing better than having fresh clean plano boxes full of tackle.

my " new " box courtesy of member Mississippi Boy has 4 plano boxes in it..

but the only downside to using that box over any other is i loose wire bait space..

Got tired myself of diggin through boxes and didn't know what was in those boxes, and after reading that in a magazine it only made sense...

While were on the discussion tackle, notice my spinnerbait box... it is a modified 3700 with six square compartments in them. I simply took the dremel tool with a cut off wheel and a grinder to the box very carefully and made a spinnerbait box that i liked. It can easily hold 70+ spinnerbaits and is still the size of a 3700.

the box i was gunna go to [and still may] has 4 2-35000 ProLatch™ utility boxes ..

Thanks, Zook! The first and only time I ever bass fished from a boat, I brought one BASS bag (that small one they give you will you sign up) and a plano with hard baits. I brought 3 rigs and asked if I could bring a 4th and was told that was alright.

All day I thought I had too much stuff mainly because I didn't want to come across as a space hog. You guys have made me feel better that I didn't impose by any stretch.

3 rods, My box (im lazy and dont want to link it, but its a big plano) and I share my plastics with my boat owner, so their allways their.

I do fish as a guest on a bass boat a few times per year, as well as fishing in 1 NY Bass.com Tx. All my tackle fits into a blue bag just like the one in the previous picture. It houses 7 3600 Plano boxes which includes 3 for plastics, 3 for hard lures (which vary by season and body of water), & 1 box for terminal tackle. I keep a soft zipper bag with plastic sleeves that hold all my spinnerbait/buzzbaits. One side compartment contains my spools of leader line, and tools. When fishing out of one of my rowboats I bring a max of 7 setups, and when I'm fishing as a non-boater I bring 5 setups max after I talk to my boater. Sometimes they have requested that I bring only 4 setups, which I then do. In addition, I bring a thermos and a small hard lunch box, as well as my rain gear, and certified life vest.

Wow, I'm startin to feel seriously undertackled here!
I just roll with 2 rods and a Shakespeare bag that holds 6 Plano 6-21s.
I have been looking to upgrade to a bigger soft sider though. Just haven't found the right one yet.
Tried checkin out a couple Flambeau Tackle Stations at Walmart the other day but they didn't have any in store.
Always tryin to keep the little Mallen down...
